Chicago-based public library worker and independent scholar at the intersection of information studies, critical cultural studies, and science and technology studies.

My research focuses on the political economy of institutions that do both communication and information work: libraries, archives, museums, universities, publishing houses, and newsrooms. My work centers on the labor it takes to store, re-present, and distribute the information that, through people, places, spaces, and systems, becomes knowledge to the public.
